Barca looking for trinity

- Barcelona are looking to sign Franck Ribery and David Villa to complete a devastating trinity alongside Lionel Messi.
- Barca are looking for reinforcements in the summer and have been linked with both Ribery and Villa.
- "Villa is among the best goalscorers in the world, while Ribery's versatility has made him a favourite of Guardiola," the report reads. "The Valencia striker has revelled in the pressure at Mestalla and scored goals at every level while keeping Raul out of the Spain squad."
- "Ribery is now the leader of the French team and the best player at Bayern," it continues. "Both players are at an ideal age, with Villa being 27 and Ribery 26."
- "The team that won the league and the Champions League in 2006 has not been properly renewed and the club has paid for that."
- The key would be warding off the advances of clubs from the BPL and Real Madrid.
- Joan Laporta is set to stand down as president at the end of the current campaign and is keen to round of his spell at the helm in style.
- "The Barcelona president will want to go into his last season as president with a great team and it could be that they play in the final of the Champions League which is set to be held in the Bernabeu," the story continues.
- Neither Ribery nor Villa have hidden their admiration for Barcelona and that has also appeared to encourage both the club and the media.
- "Ribery has made it clear he would like to join Barça, while Villa's agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, has stated that his client would score plenty of goals in Camp Nou and would make an incredible partner for Messi," the report concludes.
