New Zealand v India, 3rd Test, Wellington, 3rd day


India 379 and 349 for 5 (Gambhir 167, Laxman 61, Dravid 60) lead New Zealand 197 by 531 runs

  • Gauti scored his second century of the series in successive matches
  • Gambhir's 167 was supported by Dravid and Laxman, who made half-centuries, as India extended their first-innings lead of 182 past 500 on the third day.
  • O'Brien struck twice with the second new ball in the final session to give New Zealand some cheer but India were dominant when bad light stopped play 30 minutes before stumps.
